Venerating our ancestors has been a common spiritual, religious, and magical practice for thousands of years, well before any major world religion came into power. Whether you have a close connection to your family and ancestors or not, honoring those who came before us is one of the primary components to a powerful spiritual and magical practice. It is important for us to create and maintain this connection to our ancestors to help enrich our lives and empower our workings. Discovering and working with his ancestors is actually how Psychic Medium Josh Simonds discovered his gifts, and he looks forward to helping you do the same in this class.

In this class, Psychic Medium Josh Simonds walks you down the path of ancestor veneration, why it’s important in our spiritual and magical practices, and how you can incorporate it into your everyday life. You’ll go over who your ancestors are (including those not related to you by blood!), how to create an ancestral altar, how to pray and work with them, as well as how to make offerings to them. You’ll also go over useful information like healing ancestral trauma as well as learn about useful herbal allies to help you connect with your ancestors.

This class is limited to 8 participants and to people 21 years and older. The end of the class will include a meditation to help you connect with your ancestral line, as well as an ancestral ritual and dinner. There will be wine and tobacco at this dinner to use as offerings, and each student will coordinate with Josh after signing up as to what dish to bring to the class. We’ll “break bread” together as a class and you’ll learn how to leave your ancestors offerings during the ending ritual.
